Tara is wonderful – extremely intuitive and knowledgeable about the body. She is a compassionate and skilled massage therapist and takes the time she needs on each part of my body. I go to her once a month and wouldn’t be able to function comfortably without her. Thank you, Tara!

Thank you for being here. You might be wondering two things.
First, how will this work support you and second, what is a typical session like with me. I’ll do my best to answer both of these questions for you here.
If you’d like to connect before working together, you are invited to schedule a complimentary 20-minute zoom call to help you determine if we’d be a good fit.
How will this work support you?
I find that my (body)work is especially helpful for folks who are navigating symptoms of anxiety, grief, chronic pain, and/or feeling energetically drained.
Getting into the body through therapeutic touch can help move the energy. When the energy moves out, more space is available for the nervous system to settle down and enter a state of ease. When the nervous system moves into a state of ease, healing begins.
Finally, people who benefit from my work the most are interested in the energetic and spiritual aspects of bodywork.
Folks who prefer really deep pressure and think massage should hurt for it to work may not feel drawn to my work. The pressure I utilize for integrative bodywork sessions is generally medium to firm pressure with some specific work targeting deeper layers of soft tissue when indicated.
After working on thousands of bodies over the course of 15 years I’ve come to know on a deep level that more pressure does not get better results and I don’t subscribe to the mantra no pain, no gain.
I’m not in the business of beating people up. I’m in the business of helping folks return to a deeper sense of self through healing touch. If this approach appeals to you we might be a good fit! You can read more about my philosophy on whether or not massage has to hurt for it to work here.
What’s a typical integrative bodywork session like?
I love co-creating bodywork sessions with clients. I want to support you in your healing. Each session is unique to the person I am working with and we’ll always have a higher intention in mind throughout our course of time working together.
Integrative bodywork sessions may include various massage techniques such as myofascial, swedish, medical, and neuromuscular.
Sessions may also include craniosacral therapy and energy work techniques. As well as tools like myofascial cupping, gua-sha, essential oils, pain relieving oil, hot stones and castor oil packs.
Bodywork is an invitation to reconnect + feel more of what is going on in your body, mind, and spirit. It’s an opportunity to care for your self in a deep way.
Sessions may feel deeply relaxing and restorative while also feeling productive and therapeutic.
Heart Centered Practice
Finally, my approach to working with you is through the heart. I have extensive training in trauma safe protocols. Since 2013 I’ve studied the science and art of safely supporting individuals reduce the symptoms of post traumatic stress, pain, and anxiety through bodywork and coaching techniques.
My (body)work is grounded in a deep understanding of how the nervous system works and how to support the whole person as they move through recovery from post traumatic stress.
I hope I was able to answer your questions about how this work can support you and what it’d be like to work together. If you feel called to schedule a session, you can check my availability and book your first appointment here.
