Tara has a special interest in the effects of trauma and stress on the mind and body and in helping clients to heal from those effects. To that end, she has earned certifications as both a yoga instructor and a provider of TRE® (trauma releasing exercises). The latter, a revolutionary yet simple exercise to release stress, tension, and trauma from the body, is a particular favorite of Tara’s, because it is something that, once taught, can be done anytime, anywhere on one’s own. Tara has taught both TRE® and yoga to women and men in recovery from eating disorders.
Tara holds a master’s degree in art education, a bachelor’s degree in exercise science and is a certified personal trainer.
